I really liked this
This event is the 2003 Horse Parade at Battersea. To some of us Americans, Battersea is synonomous with shelter and welfare for animals. Judging is pass/fail on a farrier check (hooves), vet check (the rest of the horse), and presentation of the entire entry. No cargo allowed. It originated in the 19th century and it was a chance to earn a stamp of approval, and therefore bragging rights, for keeping working horses in excellent condition. And that they are here!
Most of the program seems to be taking place in the line for the farrier inspection. It is true that the interviewer seemed to know little about the subject and is apparently not very experienced at making videos. For instance he kept raising his mike high to hear someone on a tall carriage but then forget to bring it back down for the next question to be heard. All of this, and just low production values, costs a rating star here. Otherwise, to me he seemed game to try to learn about it all. He spends more time...
Harness Horse Parade
An inept interviewer who knows little to nothing about horses and an abysmally inexperienced cameraman, cannot deter from the fact that the horses them selves and the carriages and Buggies were magnificent.
Harness Horse Parade
I loved the London Harness Horse Parade. I loved looking at all those gorgeous horses in all there finery. I watched it twice.
